MOGADISHU, Somalia — May 07, 2026 — The Mogadishu Institute of Health (MIH) is

proud to announce the formalization of a landmark strategic partnership with the

Benadir Regional Administration (BRA) Directorate of Health and Human Services.

The partnership was officially sealed with the signing of a Memorandum of

Understanding (MoU) during a high-level ceremony held today in the capital.

The agreement was signed by Dr. Najib Isse Dirie, Managing Director of MIH, and

Dr. Abdirahman Ahmed Mohamud, Director of the BRA Health Directorate.

This alliance marks a significant step toward achieving scientific sovereignty

in Somalia’s healthcare sector. By combining MIH’s technical research expertise

with the BRA Health Directorate’s regional mandate, the two institutions aim to

transform raw health data into actionable policies that improve clinical

outcomes for the residents of the Benadir region and the nation at large.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Dr. Najib Isse Dirie emphasized the necessity
